Equipment and safety:

The markers and paintballs we supply are manufactured and maintained to precise standards. No privately owned equipment can be owned or used in the Northern Territory. The markers are powered by a small cylinder of compressed CO2 gas and are pre-tested daily by chronograph below the international safety limit of 300 feet per second. The paintballs are non-toxic, non-caustic, water-soluble, biodegradable and are designed to break open when they hit a target. For safety and liability reasons, only paintballs supplied by United Paintball on the day are to be used on the field. We provide a safety briefing in accordance with the Paintball Code of Practice, and can supply you with additional personal protective equipment. The standard issue protective equipment consist of a face mask and overalls for each player, protective vests for the women is available.

The option of gloves, neck protectors or a cricket box (recommended for the guys) are also available at a reasonable cost.

Buffer Zones surround the playing areas where during running paintball activities no other activities will take place. There will be no pedestrian or vehicle traffic in those areas during paintball games. The only exception to that rule is if a staff member or an authorized person needs to enter that area for safety or operational reasons. The buffer/exclusion zones are clearly signed and careful attention must be taken to avoid entering these areas while the red flags are flying. If this needs to happen, the person entering the Buffer Zone, must use the appropriate safety equipment under the direction of our trained staff. The paintball playing areas and exclusion areas will be clearly defined by either boundary fences or netting. It is the job of our field staff to ensure that all players know where the playing boundaries and safe areas are, players must stay within those areas. Players can only leave these areas if they are not carrying a paintball marker.

All spectators and visitors to the site must stay in the designated safe zones; if they need to enter playing areas they must use the appropriate safety equipment under the direction of our staff.

What else do I need to know?

The paintball specific equipment will be supplied by United Paintball. You should wear strong supportive footwear, knee and elbow pads if you are an aggressive style of player. If you are planning to buy a cricket protector on the day, wear appropriate underwear to keep the protector in place, boxer shorts just don't do the job. Because you are required to wear overalls that we supply, don't wear anything that is going to add to the heat. Paintball will test out the fittest of people because of the energetic nature of the sport and the high levels of adrenaline that you will experience.

You can pay with EFTPOS or cash, make sure you bring one of them.

Physical contact with other players or staff is not permitted, any unsportsman like behavior will not be toloerated and you will be ejected and permanently banned from the venue.

Understand that you will be shot during the day.

If your ego is going to be hurt by someone else shooting you, stay home and play your XBOX, especially if a woman outdoing you is going to offend your manly pride!
